Healing Arts, LLC, is a holistic and integrative community practice located in North Kingstown, RI. Presently, we provide individual therapy, couple's counseling, one day intensives, group therapy, workshops, integration work and DOT/SAP Evaluations.
We each bring many years of clinical experience from our work in NYC and Rhode Island. Our approach is an active collaboration between the therapist and the client. It is based on what the client chooses as their goal.
We provide a safe space which is non-judgmental, responsive, empowered, compassionate, and strength-based. The work is enriched through our knowledge and experience and by the belief that there is always meaning to be found, especially in the struggle.
We specialize in trauma and addiction. Our ideal client is someone who wants to do deeper work on their issues. We believe that each person has resources within the "Self" to hold compassion for the parts in need of healing, unburdening and transformation.
As holistic practitioners, we address the whole person in the healing process- a mind, body, spirit approach. As integrative psychotherapists, we have experience and knowledge of therapeutic principles and techniques which can help clients cope with their emotions, gain insight and meet their goals: Expressive Arts, 12 Step work, Internal Family Systems (IFS), EMDR, Clinical Hypnosis. Our practice is committed to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. All are welcome. We incorporate various spiritual principles into our work as well.
As of September 1, 2024, Healing Arts, LLC will be expanding the practice to Costa Ballena, the South Pacific Coast of Costa Rica. Our plan is to continue offering therapy via TeleHealth and to facilitate IFS & Expressive Arts workshops and retreats in Costa Rica. 🇨🇷 Pura Vida!

Psychotherapist
I'm a psychotherapist and co-founder of Healing Arts, LLC. I have over thirty years of experience counseling adolescents and adults with substance abuse and mental health issues. I’ve worked with diverse populations in various clinical settings such as hospitals, prisons, residential and intensive outpatient treatment programs. I hold Masters degree in Counseling Psychology from Cambridge College and a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from RIC. I have a deep respect for each individual I encounter in my practice. I see the innate goodness and the potential for wholeness in every person.

I incorporate traditional talk therapy along with Buddhist principles of mindfulness and meditative practices to enhance and support well-being and personal growth, and as a vehicle to increase awareness and open a path to resolve your presenting concerns. I have extensive training and experience in trauma resolution work to counsel those affected by death, war, childhood abuse, illness, grief and loss.
If you’re interested in scheduling a consultation with me, please send an appointment request or you can call/text ~ 401-932-6821

Integrative Psychotherapist
I’m an integrative psychotherapist and the co-founder of Healing Arts, LLC. a community private practice, located in North Kingstown, Rhode Island. I have a Masters degree in Holistic Counseling from Salve Regina University where I learned to integrate a body, mind, spirit approach to counseling. I’ve been licensed as an alcohol and drug counselor since 1995. I’m also qualified by the Department of Transportation to provide DOT/SAP Evaluations. I developed my clinical skills working as a therapist in the substance abuse and mental health field for 20 years prior to private practice.
I’m a trauma specialist committed to helping clients learn how to connect with self/Self and others, to be more present in life and to transform their trauma. The main type of therapy I use is Internal Family Systems (IFS): getting to know your own system, accessing Self-Energy, building relationship with burdened parts and embracing the healing process. I’m also trained in EMDR which is an evidence-based approach to treating trauma and PTSD. As a trauma therapist, I believe in an integrative, somatic and non-pathologizing approach to help clients reach their goals. We also provide harm reduction and integration for those on the Plant Medicine Path.
I’m passionate about my work. I believe everyone can heal and create a better life. Healing needs to be a lifestyle change as it goes way beyond what happens within the therapeutic process in my office. I provide an individualized Self-Care Plan to help clients create resources and develop community. I believe we stay sick in isolation and we heal in community.
I love facilitating IFS & Expressive Arts workshops, group therapy, and retreats. There is so much magic that takes place in the group process. We recently co-hosted Rhode Island's Integrative Mental Conference 2024 where we created a teaching and healing community for treatment providers.
I live with my life partner and our three dogs in North Kingstown. I consider myself a life long learner. I enjoy creating art, traveling, practicing Spanish, walking in Nature, a game of Scrabble, spending time with family and friends. I'm also passionate about health and fitness.
If you’re interested in scheduling a consultation with me, please send an appointment request.
Presently, I offer TeleHealth and in-person counseling sessions in North Kingstown, RI. However, in September we will be living and working in Costa Rica, I will only be available by TeleHealth. Pura Vida!!
